David Meanix and Fear

These are my three favorites of David Meanix's pieces. I like them because i think they are interesting looking. The first one would be very creepy to see on the street, which i like. And the second looks very interesting with its anger. And the last one just looks pretty cool.

As for his over all style. It is very creepy and strange. But i like it, A lot actually. Its really interesting. The creepiness is what makes the style work. It has a unique feel to it.

What am i afraid of? Many thing. As for my top 5 fears. I'd have to say number one is the fear of disappointing others. But im also afraid of being alone, death, blood/gore, and well, i guess pain. but who isn't ?

Frandy Jean - Haitian Painter

I learned several things today. For one, I learned a bit of haitian culture. About how the public transportation is called a tap-tap and all it is a truck with a bench in the back. I also learned about how the street merchants work, and how every day for them is a worry of whether or not you will make any money. Finally, I learned about Frandy's work. He has some pretty interesting jewelery and appears to have a thing for painting people. He seems to be a very very good artist.

Campaign Assignment

The reason i chose this topic to do my project on is simple. I simply cannot stand people who drink and do drugs frequently. Abusing those things is just not worth it. There is simply no sensible reason why someone should ever abuse those things. I cannot stand it. And that's why i chose this topic.

More then half of american's drink. 51% of people ages 12 or older in the U.S. say they are current drinkers. I think that is a little ridiculous. Then if you go to illegal drugs, its about 22 million american's using them. 9% of the population. And that's not even including people abusing legal drugs, which is ALSO a problem.

All in all. I can't stand any of it. In fact, i really really really hate all of it and everything about it.

Magazine Cover Comparison

New.

Old Fashion.

The differences between the two magazine covers are clear, though there are similarities. Starting with the difference you can cleary see how Older magazines used what appears to be drawing to give the cover that look that stands out, while the new cover has photoshopped digital-looking pictures of tears and various other things in addition too the real human face. But There are similarities such as using techniques to alter the picture to make it stand out more, which draws attention.

Lichtenstein

Those were 5 Lichtenstein pieces that i liked

Ben-Day dots are tiny dots that can be spread apart or put together to create optical illusions or art.

The difference between Lichtenstein and Warhol is the dots. both of them have similar color schemes and themes. And they are both pop art, But Lichtensteins use of the Ben-Day Dot is the deciding factor in making them different styles yet still pop art.

Heres my attempt at a Lichtenstein-style pop art piece.

Warholizer and My Pictures

My Pop Art Definition and Favorite Warhol

Pop art was an art movement that incorporated pop culture into fine art. The style of art would take certain objects of pop culture and place them into or with completely unrelated objects or scenes.

Here are my favorite Warhol pictures.
