Definitions of Abstract Art

Abstract Art: This style of art attempts to stand outside the traditional representation of the physical objects. It uses colors and lines to represent them in a new way.


 Non-Objective Art: This style does not depict any people, objects, or any natural thing. It uses colors, lines and brush strokes to express itself in another way


Non-Representational Art: The art relies on form rather then representing something with pictures


Abstract Expressionism: A movement that was composed of diverse styles and emphasizing an artists ability to express their emotions through non-traditional styles.
